Our bodies are amazing creations that can do extraordinary things. Dance taught me to appreciate how far I could push my body’s limits. Then being along side hundreds of women laboring I saw how far so many individuals can push the limits of their own minds and bodies. Working in New York City I had the opportunity to support people from different socio-economic, cultural, religious, and ethnic backgrounds. I also had the chance to learn about High Risk OB within a teaching hospital which has allowed for me to continue High Risk OB nursing in Denver, CO where I now live with my husband, son Liam and our dog Shyla. I learned a great deal from my own birth class and realized how passionate I am for teaching women about the labor and birth process. My experience as a labor and delivery nurse has exposed me to the many different ways someone can labor and deliver.
